    ±800kV embedded fiber composite insulator is applied in Jin-Su DC project

    The alternating current system of Tongli converter station of Jinping - South Jiangsu ±800kV UHVDC transmission project was officially put into operation on December 12th, 2012. The ±800kV embedded fiber composite insulator of our company is applied in this project, and its good anti-pollution flash, rain-flash performance, excellent anti-leakage mark (4.5kV) and anti-electrical corrosion performance make the product run stably. In addition, digital signals can be transmitted with high speed and low loss by using embedded optical fiber.


    The project starts from Yulong Converter Station in Xichang, Sichuan Province in the west, and reaches Tongli Converter Station in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province in the east, passing through Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Hunan, Hubei, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu Province in 7 provinces and 1 city. The length of the line is 2058.584 kilometers, and the iron tower is 4241 bases. The rated transmission power is 7.2 million kilowatts. On October 17th, 2013, the Jinsu line reached a transmission load of 6.41 million kilowatts, a new high; On July 17th, 2014, the ±800 kV UHV Jinsu line overload test was successful, the first time to achieve bipolar 1.05 times overload operation, transmission load up to 7.56 million kW.
